Mechanism of actionMast-cell stabilizer; also inhibits eosinophil, neutrophil and monocyte activation.
Indication / reason for useItching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
Usual adult dosing1-2 drops in each eye twice daily.
PreservativeBAK 0.01%
Contact lensesRemove lenses; reinsert after 15 min.
Common / important adverse effectsOcular burning/stinging, unpleasant taste, headache, nasal congestion.
